About Me:

Diana Louise Smith is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Clinical Lead for Legacy's Project Nurture Program at Legacy Emanuel. She received her Masters of Science from the University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco General Hospital's Interdisciplinary Nurse Midwifery Education Program in 2011. Before joining Legacy, Diana worked with the faculty midwifery practices at the University of New Mexico and the Oregon Health Sciences University. She has attended births at home and in the hospital. She is passionate about public health and social justice, and works to increase access for all people to comprehensive reproductive health care, delivered with compassion and respect for individual's unique needs and choices. She loves to teach midwifery students, meditate, spend time in nature and with loved ones, and paint.
