About Me:

Through my parents I inherited a deep love of travel and have considered myself a nomad for most of my life with time spent on both coasts, the Midwest, and even Thailand. I moved from Minnesota to Eugene to attend U of O, first kindling my love of Oregon. After living in Portland for many years I then went to study Nurse Midwifery at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. I started my midwifery career in upstate New York, but with a constant draw back to the Pacific Northwest, I found a wonderful midwifery practice in Tacoma/Olympia. My journey has come full circle as I moved back to Portland in 2015 to start practicing full scope midwifery with Legacy, and have felt back at home ever since. As a midwife I have caught babies in every position, supported families of every style, and have always felt this is my calling. I feel passionately about helping women to make informed choices about their reproductive and birthing options.
