Dr.Venigalla informed me of a procedure(s) that was NOT needed at this particular visit, due to my age, but definitely recommended the procedure(s) that I DO need to have done, due to my age. Any questions I had were answered with clarity. Opportunity for any concerns I might have or had were also offered by Dr. Venigalla before leaving the patient room.

My visit to Legacy Medical and Dr. Venigalla on [age deleted] was very pleasant in every way - I wasn't even bothered by the remodel underway. Dr. Venigalla is very east to talk with, and answered my questions.

I had called on a Wednesday and got an appt for I I I called on a Wednesday for an appt and was able to get an appt for the next day, Thursday at 0750. I called on Thursday morning because I was late and stuck in traffic. when I talked to the scheduler she told me that she didn't see an appt for me on Thursday morning, instead it was for [date deleted] I had already taken the morning off of work to go to my appt on Thursday morning. I rescheduled the appt for the next day, Friday at 0750 and was able to be seen then, but I had to take time off of work again.

Good: the doctor was able to see me within 24 hours of making the appointment. Bad: I've had a chronic cough that can last for weeks usually triggered by a cold. Reason for visit: I thought it might possibly be a sinus infection (rec'd antibiotic prescription) or allergy related. Cough is much better but still present.

Dr Venigalla was incredibly attentive and patient with everything I needed to convey or question. Her review of my health was thorough and the compassion she showed for my health and concerns was outstanding. Dr Venigalla is one of the most caring physicians I have worked with.

I came in and was gowned for a full yearly physical. We discussed my blood tests and blood pressure was taken as well as stethoscope to heart. There was no head/neck exam (carotid artery, etc) nor belly exam and I was complaining about constipation. Since my diet had changed, I was only told to take a fiber supplement. Maybe this was adequate (it lasted about 10 minutes) but was so less extensive than my previous exams with another provider nor what my family has examined. We did thoroughly discuss my blood tests and I was asked if there were any questions but it just didn't feel like a thorough physical and I'm thinking I may have to see my gastroenterologist after all. I'm prediabetic and feet weren't checked either. It was the shortest exam I've ever had, especially for a physical, but maybe all they look at anymore is blood work. I can go on line and get my own results.

The doctor was fantastic as always My problem came when I went to the lab to have blood draw done. The lab people where so not friendly, not helpful, did not greet me in a courteous tone I felt like I was intruding on their day

I don't feel like my provider treats me with respect or as a total person. She seems to dwell on the fact that I need to lose weight. HELLO?!?!? I buy my own clothes, I have a mirror, I LIVE IN MY BODY! I know I need to lose weight and all her harping on it isn't going to make me do it any faster. Get off my back.

You'll note I responded with 'never' on 2 questions, but this is no way negative. To explain - the office did not call me with my lab results, however the auto notification was sent to my email and reviewed the results on line. Unless there was a concern with the results, I would prefer the provider's office to not take the time to call me. The office also did not check in with me on in the last 3-mos on prescription medication - what I take is a very common medication, and one which I've taken for the last 25-yrs. There would have been no reason for them to have called me. I'm very happy with Dr. Venigalla and the staff. Thank-you.

My doctor never gave complete physical, even though I have asked for one. Listening to heart & lungs does not qualify. My new insurance suggested to have a baseline CT of lung (I am ex-smoker) I had to insist to have one, discovered that I have very small nodule, will have to have a repeat scan of my lungs. This scan also showed pretty big nodules on my thyroid had to have ultrasound and, ultrasound guide Bx, fortunately they were beningn. I guess nowadays you have to be very productive and take care of health issues by insisting having test to diagnose the problems. I miss the old days!

I have always received timely and excellent care with this provider and staff. In this last visit she had to deliver some unwelcome biopsy results, and she did so with so much care and concern, and gave me the opportunity to talk about it as much as I needed, and she made an immediate referral to an oncology surgeon who she assured me she had very high confidence in. All of this demonstrated her very real concern for me and gave me a lot of comfort.

I became Dr Venigalla's patient after Dr Boston retired. I was not sure I would even like her, but Dr. Venigalla has been a wonderful Dr and makes it a point to explain everything to me in great detail and makes sure she understands my concerns. She has made great suggestions and I think she's great.

This was an initial meeting with Dr. Venigalla and I brought medical records with me to give her. She read and made copies and we had a good discussion of my needs. She ordered lab work and I learned today of her suggestions and will see her later this month. I was very content with my visit.

Wait time in lab seemed a little long, like maybe not enough staff. Provider apparently didn't appreciate me repeating back to her some comments, like maybe she thought I was stupid. It's called ACTIVE LISTENING. I was attempting to show her that I was paying attention to her, even though at times she appears to not listen or care about what I have to say.

I am not sure that this has to do with the office I visited, but they gave me a referral for 2 different offices and it has been 6 days and I still have not been able to see even one of the people. Part of it is due to insurance clearance, but the other is that there are no appointments available for over a month. Not good for me.

I do appreciate that she did take time to take with me and did not make me feel rushed. When that happens, I don't feel bad about waiting more than 15 minutes because she probably took time with her other patients and that was why she was behind.

Her ofc didn't need to call me about blood test results. I have a My Health acct and can look up the test results myself. also, I was seeing her in a couple of days. just wanted to make sure it is understood that she did not need to get back to me. I'm sure if something stood out in a bad way, I would have been contacted.

Upon check in, one of the clerks had a cough and did not wear a mask. She even talked about the cough being a little better that day to one of her colleagues. Since the masks are so readily available, I felt she should have had one covering her mouth. Thank you.

I enjoyed visit with the Dr. She knows I have the same problems with cough and sleep and what medicines to take for both. She also suggested I might have an allergy and I should contact "my" ENT Dr. to see if he could suggest other things I could do. I always leave hopeful!! and she listens!

In this survey some of the ?'s were not clear. I saw my provider for a f/u visit and at our visit we discussed my medications. While no one f/u on my visit, I visited Legacy, My Health to get the results of my blood test. I can communicate with my provider thru My Health and she responds very quickly.

Dr. Venigalla seems professional and competent. She is somewhat "reserved" in manner and does not easily engage in "small talk." Her "strictly business" manner might be a bit off-putting to some patients.

Services great. Doctors great. Facilities great. Hope to continue being able to be a patient. BCBS has abandoned the individual market in OR due to the state's "anti-business, anti-insurance company" environment, so I'm in the process of figuring out insurance options for individual coverage that will enable me to remain with Legacy.

I called regarding a chronic cough and had an appointment within 2 hours. Very good! So far the prescription given seems to be helping. Admission procedure - On my last visit in February I was asked for and paid a $5 copay. A month or two later I received a check from Legacy for $5. It's not the money but hassle of making a special trip to the bank to cash the check. This visit I was asked the same question and I explained my previous experience. The fee was waived this time but my question is this should be a straight forward matter. Either I owe it or I don't. This just illustrates on a small level the inefficiencies in administering healthcare. Just think of the number of people involved in processing a $5 check. Magnify this on a national level and now your talking real money. CUT ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS AND BLUNDERS would be a good place to start. As I write this our illustrious US Senate is voting on Healthcare. God help us!
