Heather Zarour, MD
Clackamas Surgical Associates
I grew up in North Carolina, in a small farming community. Taking care of people has been a passion of mine ever since I was a young woman. I started as a nursing assistant and went to school to obtain my nursing degree. I worked as a registered nurse for ten years, most of that time in the emergency department. I went back to school to become a physician because I wanted to be able to offer my patients more and take care of them in a more comprehensive way. Training in Portland Oregon offered me an amazing opportunity to learn from leaders in the fields of laparoscopic as well as cancer surgery, widening my horizon and offering me the best training experience. My husband and I enjoy spending time with family, hiking, camping and biking. My philosophy is to care for people in a holistic way, partnering with people to come up with the best treatment plan catered just for them.
