Legacy Health's employee benefits
When you see this summary of Legacy's benefit package, we're pretty sure you'll agree that our plans are better in many respects than the market average. And then we go further by offering benefits not available elsewhere.
Our health insurance benefits are available for regular full-time and part-time employees budgeted to work 24 hours or more per week (some unions choose not to participate) and their spouses, eligible domestic partners and eligible children to age 26 (when enrolled full-time in school). Eligibility begins the first of the month following the first day of employment.
Legacy + Network
The Legacy Employee Medical Plan provides coverage for eligible services received from Legacy + Network facilities and providers and all emergency or urgent care services only.
Before seeking care, health plan members should consult our provider network. Employees can get more information about the Legacy Employee Medical Plan on the Legacy Human Resources Department intranet page and through the Legacy online benefits enrollment site.
Annual paid leave and leaves of absence
Regular full-time and part-time Legacy employees earn Annual Paid Leave (APL) for their use for vacations, a day off here and there, holidays or in case they get sick. (There are some exceptions for union employees - check your contract.) New regular full-time employees earn 22 APL days a year. The longer you work for Legacy, the more APL you are entitled to earn, up to 38 days a year.
In addition, there are many types of leaves available at Legacy for absences that exceed three days. Federal or state laws, such as the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Oregon and Washington Family Leave Acts (OFLA and WFLA) govern some of the leaves. Other leaves include personal and educational, military, jury duty, bereavement and community service.
