Getting started

How do I search for job openings?
From the main careers page, click external applicants (or internal applicants if you are current Legacy employee). You can browse our open jobs and refer a friend to a specific job without logging in to the portal. If you create a user name and password, and sign in to the portal, you will also be able to apply for open jobs, check your application status and set up email alerts for jobs of interest to you.

If I used to work for Legacy, may I sign in using the "internal applicants" link?
Only Legacy employees who have a current Legacy employee number may sign in using the internal applicants link.

May I send you my CV or résumé to keep on file?
No. Legacy does not accept CVs, résumés or applications for positions that are not posted on our website. When you complete an application for a position, you may have an opportunity to attach your résumé for certain job openings. If the job that you're applying for is accepting résumés, you will be prompted to upload this information at the end of the online application.

I'm a Legacy employee. Do I need to complete the whole application every time I apply for a new position?
Once you create your user profile in Legacy's Talent Acquisition Portal (TAP), any application you submit after that will automatically include the work history and education information from your profile. To get started, click the internal applicants link on the main careers page.

I want to apply for a job I saw yesterday, but now it's not there.
Applications are accepted only for jobs that are open today. If you saw the job yesterday, but it's not there today, that means it's no longer open for applications.

I'm trying to submit an application, but I'm having trouble.
If you are experiencing technical difficulties with Legacy's Talent Access Portal (TAP), please call 503-415-5405 during regular business hours (7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday–Friday). If you need more information about completing an application, please click the "Help" link at the bottom of the page you are on in the portal.

I have forgotten my password. How do I find out what it is?
On the "Welcome" page, click the "Forgot Password?" link to have a reminder emailed to you. 

If I want to change my password, how do I do that?
Log in to the careers portal, and go to "My Home Page." Scroll down, and then click on the link "Change your Password or User ID." Follow the directions on the page.

What is the Washington State Patrol Disclosure Statement?
Applicants applying for any position at a Legacy facility in Washington state are required to complete the Washington State Patrol Disclosure Statement. Click here for more information

I am a student interested in an internship at a Legacy hospital. What do I need to do to be considered?
Legacy does not offer clinical internships for students. We have a limited number of paid non-clinical summer internships. We will post more information on our Summer Internship Opportunities when we are accepting applications.
