Specimen Collection Requirements
Bone Marrow, use a syringe rinsed with 0.5 mL of preservative free sodium heparin (1,000 U.S.P. units)
Room temperature within 24 hours of collection
Rejection is only at the discretion of the Cytogenetics Laboratory.

Clinical information including the indication for study must accompany the specimen. This should include treatment history and a copy of the most recent CBC result. Call Client Services to obtain collection containers and transport media.
Classical G-Band Chromosomal Analysis
Cytogenetics interpretation provided. A computer generated karyotype is also provided with each study.
