Specimen Collection Requirements

Collect

Whole Blood, one 4.0 mL lavender (EDTA) or 4.0 mL green (sodium heparin) top tube

Handling

Store at room temperature; refrigerated or frozen specimens unacceptable. The specimen must be analyzed within 72 hours of collection. Samples must arrive in lab by 6:00 pm on a Friday before a three day weekend.
