Useful in the detection of serum heterophile antibodies produced in response to Epstein Barr Virus, the causative agent of infectious mononucleosis.

Collect

Serum or Plasma, one gold (SST) or lavender (EDTA) top tube

Handling

Allow blood to clot, centrifuge and pour serum or plasma into a plastic tube.

0.50 mL

Minimum Volume

0.25 mL
