Urine, 24-hour or random collection container refrigerate during collection

Handling

Aliquot from a well-mixed 24-hour or random urine collection. Adjust pH to less than or equal to 2 by adding 6M hydrochloric acid. Specimens previously preserved with boric acid are acceptable. Record total volume, collection time interval and pH on specimen and test request form.
