Guidelines

This test is indicated to monitor oral anticoagulant therapy, especially in patients whose plasma contains lupus anticoagulants and in patients receiving the drug Argatroban.

Specimen Collection Requirements

Platelet-Poor Plasma, one light blue (3.2% sodium citrate) top tube

Handling

CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
