FISH Probe: D13S319/13q34
This probe set detects deletion of one or both D13S319 loci on chromosome 13 at 13q14.3 region or monosomy 13. Deletions of 13q are observed in patients with multiple myeloma and have been associated with a worsened prognosis. Monosomy 13 is associated with the transition of monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) to multiple myeloma.
