FISH Probe: D13S319/13q34/CEP12
(13q14.3)/(13q34)/D12Z3 (12p11.1-q11)
This probe set detects deletions of one or both D13S319 loci on chromosome 13 versus monosomy of chromosome 13 and trisomy of chromosome 12. Patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) with isolated 13q deletions have a favorable clinical course and best overall survival. The clinical course of patients with CLL with trisomy 12 is intermediate between the groups with inferior and favorable outcomes.
