This probe is designed to detect translocations involving MYC gene on chromosome 8 at 8q24 region; most commonly t(8;14)(q24;q32), and less often t(2;8)(p12;q24) and t(8;22)(q24;q11).

Order MYCC if amplification rather than translocation status is desired. The partner chromosome of translocation can be determined by metaphase FISH, wherever applicable.
