Handling OPTION 1: Immediately place tissue in fixative (10% Neutral Buffered Formalin). Deliver to the Surgical Pathology lab ASAP. Prolonged fixation more than 10 hours may interfere with detection of specific antigens. OPTION 2: Submit fresh tissue immediately to the Surgical Pathology lab. Testing Information Note Complete immunotyping of lymphomas requires fresh tissue.
