Collect

Serum or Plasma, one gold (SST), green (sodium or lithium heparin) or lavender (EDTA) top tube

Handling

Allow sample to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP. Sample must be drawn before surgery or more than 2 days following surgery. Do not draw in the recovery room.
