Consider using for cases of non-gonococcal urethritis

Specimen Collection Requirements

Collect

Genital swab or urine. Also acceptable: Cervical or vaginal specimen collected with the ThinPrep Pap Test Collection Kit. 

Handling

Transfer genital swab or 1 mL urine to viral transport media (UTM). ThinPrep: Vortex ThinPrep PreservCyt solution and transfer 1 mL to a sterile container (min: 0.5 mL).
