New for you: Free flu shots for all medical staff and their staff, family, guests over age 16

September 2013

Legacy will offer free flu and Tdap vaccines to all medical staff members, as well as their staff and family members and guests over age 16.

Flu clinics are open 6 a.m.–8 p.m. as follows:

  • Monday, Sept. 30: Legacy Good Samaritan – Wistar Morris room
  • Tuesday, Oct. 1: Legacy Meridian Park – Conference room North and South (near the cafeteria)
  • Wednesday, Oct. 2: Legacy Emanuel and Randall Children’s Hospital – Atrium
  • Thursday, Oct. 3: Legacy Salmon Creek – Conference room C/D
  • Thursday, Oct. 3: Legacy Mount Hood – Columbia room

Physicians can also visit the nearest Legacy Employee Health clinic or get vaccinated by Flu Kickers in most units. Vaccinations are available while supplies last.

75 percent goal

Legacy Health has worked hard to get its vaccination rate to 75 percent for its employees and now has that goal for medical staff. Recent changes to the data Legacy submits to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, The Joint Commission, and the states of Oregon and Washington now require Legacy to submit flu vaccination rates for all affiliated persons.

The expansion of Legacy’s free flu clinics also supports its ongoing partnership with physicians and efforts to take an active role in the health of the community.

If you get your vaccine elsewhere or would like to decline the vaccine please send us an email
