First robotic interventional system on the west coast

Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center welcomes Artis Zeego as the first robotic interventional system installed on the West Coast. Only five are currently in use across the country.

The multi-axis imaging system, features advanced technology in the form of flat-panel detectors that give physicians high-resolution three-dimensional images, without distortion. The flat detectors, help physicians visualize interventional devices, such as guide wires and catheters, in precise detail.

"This is state-of-the-art machinery," interventional radiologist Jason Bauer, M.D. says. "It will enable us to see more clearly and increase accuracy of diagnosis because it uses dynamic 3-D imaging and can provide CT-like images."
