Pediatric Tracheostomies, Mechanical Ventilation and Respiratory Support Equipment

This four-hour course is led by a experienced Respiratory Therapist with over 30 years of experience including Pediatric Transport.  This is designed for nurses in the community (school nurses, home health nurses and caregivers,) and provides an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system and a review of respiratory deficits and why mechanical ventilation is needed. You will explore home ventilators, tracheostomy tubes, oxygenation, humidification, and suctioning.  Not only will you come away with a deeper knowledge, but our interactive hands-on practice with equipment will empower your practice.
