Telehealth

Telehealth is helping bridge the gaps of time and distance for patients who live far from a provider or specialist. Legacy's Telehealth services are ideal for patients who lead busy lives and need quick and easy access.

Regional health care providers can tap into specialized expertise through several virtual solutions that can be used in emergency situations.

There are three main types of consults available based on what care or information is needed.

Acute on-demand care

These consults happen in an emergency room or birthing center. Our providers use a mobile interactive video system to talk with the patient and care team.

Routine scheduled care

This type of telehealth consult is scheduled in advance and takes place in a physician office or clinic.

Distant diagnostics

This is the transfer of images or information sent from one facility to another, but not in real time. An example is X-ray images sent to a provider at another location for interpretation.
