The provider / Dr. & Nurse Assistant are excellent. The blood work dept personnel have zero social skills present. They act like they don't want to be there. Waited 45 min sitting in the waiting room to not get in. When questioned why, personnel replied with "we called your name three times". I disagree as I was sitting in the waiting room the whole time. I was told to check in at the kiosk again and wait some more. At that I left the building as I had no available time left. Very poor experience.

I am very thankful to have Dr. Andersen as my doctor. She addressed every concern I had (as always, with much thought and with very clear explanations). Something about the calm but thoughtful way she has about her as well as her seemingly unlimited knowledge of medical things makes me feel like I'm being well taken care of.

This has been my primary physician for nearly 10 years. She is right up there with the best. I have a clinical background and I trust her care and judgement implicitly. She does not hesitate to make referrals and order necessary tests. She recently referred me to a neuro surgeon and I then had a spinal fusionwith good results.

Dr Andersen is a very caring, compassionate & thorough practitioner. She's extremely busy I can tell.Her wonderful MA, Miss Shawna, offered me an earlier appointment with a different provider. But my medical history is a bit complicated and I hate having to repeat to a new provider. I survived waiting. I wish my Dr wasn't so popular! Worth the wait.I would like Miss Shawna Supervisor to know she is amazing & caring!

My wife and are both Dr. Andersen's patients. We have both been extremely pleased with her, and the Legacy team at the Bridgeport office. I had complex questions stacked up for this visit and she listens, in way that is refreshing in the current era (I also receive some VA care, and my GP in that realm is her exact opposite). By the end of the visit, I had a much better understanding of my areas of concern as well as a solid near term action plan, with definite follow up criteria.She, and her MA are terrific to work with, and we are delighted to have had them as our providers these past years.

I was able to discuss a number of emotional issues with Dr. A. as a result I was referred to a therapist in the office. Subsequently I did have a meaningful follow up controllable with the therapist and this was very beneficial.

I do not believe that internal medicine doctors are as thorough as primary care physicians as they have been in the past. They have abandoned any sort of bodily inspection and depend almost entirely on the results of blood work. In the past you were checked out from head to toe for any sort of abnormality that could be felt or noticed visually. It's a pity doctors don't do that anymore. If you had a suspicious looking mole on your back you would not be able to see it, but a visual inspection by your doctor would see it. Doctors need to be a little more diligent about more than just blood tests.
