About Me:

Denise Kossover-Wechter, AuD, is a Pediatric Audiologist and the Newborn Hearing Screening Program Coordinator for Legacy Health. Originally from New York, she has made the Pacific NW her home since 1980. Before joining Legacy, Dr. Kossover-Wechter has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, ear, nose and throat clinics and in private practice. She was recruited by Legacy in 2000 to help fulfill Legacy’s newborn hearing program. Denise is a member of the Oregon Early Hearing Detection & Intervention Program (OR EHDI) executive committee and a mentor to Pacific University's Audiology doctoral candidates. She enjoys working with young children and their families and with the interdisciplinary teams at Randall Children's Hospital. In her spare time, Denise volunteers at local theater, enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities, gardening, knitting, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. She is currently enjoying the life of an empty nester.
