Oregon Burn Center Community Classes

We offer free classes throughout Oregon and SW Washington on the care, treatment and prevention of burn injuries. These are usually slide presentations, 1-3 hours in length, and presented by a staff member of the Oregon Burn Center. Content can be tailored to your audience and the time available; all handouts and other materials are provided free of charge.

Class descriptions

Education on Electrical Injuries - This one-hour class focuses on what electrical injuries look like and reinforces safe work practices to prevent burns from electrical contact. Held at your worksite. 

Prevention of Burn Injuries Class - Ideal for middle school and high school groups, this class presents information about common causes of burn injuries, how to prevent burn injuries in the house, and basic first aid techniques. Held at your location. Class Objectives

The following brochures (in PDF format) can be downloaded and printed. If you'd like a quantity sent to you, complete the order form below and mail it to the Oregon Burn Center. If you have questions, please send an email. This information is available free of charge through generous donations from Portland General Electric and PacifiCorp.
