One family's story of outstanding care at Randall Children's Hospital

$10 million gift renames Children's Hospital

The Robert D. and Marcia H. Randall Charitable Trust, longtime champions of community building and youth development, has donated $10 million to support and name the new home of The Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.

The Randall Charitable Trust's gift - the largest in the history of Legacy Health, the largest given to a Children's Hospital in Oregon and Southwest Washington, and the largest the trust has ever made - is dedicated to the construction, furnishing and equipping of the new Children's Hospital. In recognition of the Randall Charitable Trust's gift, The Children's Hospital has been officially renamed Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel. Care Champions

Show your appreciation for the physician, nurse, medical technician, housekeeper or other individual who provided exceptional care to you or a loved one at Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.

When you make a charitable donation in honor of your Care Champion, you not only recognize the exceptional care you received, but also help ensure others receive the same high quality care. Your donation supports essential services, cutting-edge technology and patient education programs that improve healing.

Your Care Champion will receive a certificate informing him or her of your thoughtful gift and a custom-crafted lapel pin to wear proudly.

Help brighten a child's day all year long

As part of the family-centered care offered at Randall Children's Hospital, we strive to help children feel comfortable and relaxed while they are in the hospital. Every child at Randall Children's Hospital receives a stuffed animal, and kids who are hospitalized during the holidays or a birthday get a special toy, book or craft project to lift their spirits. This means we go through a lot of toys and always need help replenishing our stock.

Please see our list of toys, activity supplies and other needs. You may also view directions for dropping off toys. We provide a receipt for tax purposes. You may also make a cash donation to the Child Life Program. To schedule a toy drop-off, or for information about how to organize a toy drive by your school or organization, please contact Sally Kirchoff with our Child Life Program at 503-413-4322 or skirchof@lhs.org. Thank you.
