Oregon's leader in MAKOplasty knee resurfacing procedures
Until recently, individuals with osteoarthritis of the knee had only two choices – reduce or eliminate activities and take anti-inflammatories or join the 600,000 Americans who undergo a total knee replacement each year.
Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center was the first hospital in Oregon to offer patients with early- to mid-stage osteoarthritis a procedure that results in a more natural-feeling knee motion called MAKOplasty knee resurfacing. In April 2013, Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center completed its 200th MAKOplasty knee resurfacing case and our patients continue to share stories of life-changing results. While a total knee replacement is one treatment option, patients with osteoarthritis may be candidates for MAKOplasty knee resurfacing.
