If you, or a family member who is with you, are approached by an U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official while you are at any Legacy Health facility:

• Do not run if you are approached by an ICE agent in this facility
• You have the right to remain silent if you are questioned by an ICE agent while at this facility
• You have the right to insist that your lawyer be present
• We will not report a patient’s immigration status to immigration authorities, except where required by law
• We will not provide information about a patient to ICE for immigration enforcement purposes unless we:
  • Have your consent;
  • Are presented with a judicial warrant, court order, or other lawful process; or
  • Are otherwise required by law to do so
• To opt out of the hospital patient directory, notify a staff member

Si a usted, o a un pariente que le acompañe, se le acerca un agente del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas de los Estados Unidos (Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE) mientras se encuentra en cualquier centro de Legacy Health:

• No huya si le acerca un agente de ICE en este centro
• Tiene derecho a permanecer en silencio si le interroga un agente de ICE mientras se encuentra en este centro
• Tiene derecho a insistir en que su abogado esté presente
• No informaremos sobre el estatus migratorio de un paciente a las autoridades de inmigración, excepto cuando lo exija la ley
• No proporcionaremos información sobre un paciente a ICE con fines de control migratorio a menos que:
• Tengamos su consentimiento
• Se nos presente una orden judicial, una orden del tribunal u otro proceso legal; o
• La ley nos obligue a hacerlo
• Para no figurar en el directorio de pacientes del hospital, notifique a un miembro del personal
