The nervous system is the main information center of the body. This means that diseases and issues affecting the brain or nervous system can cause a wide range of symptoms, from headaches, hearing and balance issues, to sleep issues, challenges with muscle control and seizures.

We provide treatment or management of symptoms to provide the best possible quality of life for every child in our care. Our family-first practice includes education and support for parents and caregivers, as well as referrals to community resources.

And because children’s brains are still growing, we take extra care to assess how their diagnosis may affect their growth and development. Our expert clinical team will work with each family to develop a comprehensive care plan that is individualized to your child’s needs.

Conditions we treat

We provide evaluations and expert clinical care for children with a wide range of neurological conditions, including:

  • Seizures
  • Headaches
  • Movement disorders, including tics
  • Developmental delays
  • Sleep disorders

A team of specialists for a complete care plan

Because of the brain’s complexity, we may pull together a team of specialists to address your child’s specific needs. (For example, for cancers affecting the nervous system, the neurology team will work with cancer treatment experts to create a treatment and care plan.)

The key to our care is close collaboration with a range of specialists, such as: Development and Rehabilitation, Neuropsychology, Neuroimaging, Neurosurgery, Genetics, and Sleep disorders.
