Pediatric inpatient rehabilitation is a specialized medical program designed for children recovering from serious injuries, illnesses, or surgeries. It provides intensive therapy, medical care, and support in a hospital or rehabilitation facility to help young patients regain physical function, improve mobility, and develop essential life skills. The goal is to maximize their independence and overall well-being in a structured, nurturing environment.

Our mission is to provide exceptional family-integrated care to all children needing intensive interdisciplinary rehabilitation, preparing them to achieve their best quality of life.

The patient population we serve includes but is not limited to:

  • Brain injury (traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumor, meningitis, etc.)
  • Burn, limb loss, multiple trauma, peripheral nerve disorders
  • Spinal cord dysfunction (traumatic and atraumatic)
  • Patients requiring ventilator support

Referral process: If currently admitted to a hospital, please speak with your child's hospital case manager or social worker. If not currently hospitalized, speak with your child's primary care provider or another specialist (such as physiatry or neurology). If you have a current referral and have questions, please contact us. Our coordinator will assist in the assessment and process, including coordinating with your insurance provider for approval. If you are a case manager or provider looking for more info about how to place a referral, please call the admissions coordinator below.
