Clinical Collaboration Series event on cannabis
On Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, Legacy Health Partners will be hosting a Clinical Collaboration Series event titled “Cannabis and Your Patients: A Practical Approach.” This is a relevant topic that affects providers across many specialties in Oregon and Washington as the prevalence of cannabis use is very frequent among our patients, and our scientific knowledge about its role in medicine is evolving. This topic was suggested and endorsed by both the LHP Quality and Membership Committee and the Clinical Collaboration and Performance Improvement Committee.
We are fortunate to have two dynamic speakers — a nationally recognized cannabinoid researcher, translational neuroscientist Adie Rae (Wilson-Poe) Ph.D., and anesthesiologist Carrie Atcheson, M.D., MPH, from Oregon Anesthesiology Group. Together they will discuss the pharmacology of cannabinoids, summarize the current evidence around cannabinoids in medicine and review the clinical implications for your patients.
Join us Oct. 3 from 6–8:30 p.m. at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. LHP providers from all specialties are invited to attend. Legacy Health is accredited by the Oregon Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM.
