The fall and winter seasons are here.

That means more indoor festivities and activities and a greater risk of catching respiratory viruses that travel from one person to another. What’s more, there isn’t just one but multiple viruses to consider: COVID-19, the flu and RSV.

There are differences between each of these viruses, but they share a few common traits: They’re all contagious. People with compromised immune systems are more susceptible to getting one or all of them and possibly getting seriously ill. The best way to fight each of them is through preventative steps, including:

    • Getting a vaccine for each one— flu, COVID-19 and RSV (if eligible).
    • Washing hands.
    • Avoiding contact with those who are ill.
    • Wearing masks in crowded indoor spaces.
