Legacy Health completed the first phase of a $37 million expansion and improvement project at Legacy Silverton Medical Center, fulfilling its promise to improve health care services for the City of Silverton and surrounding communities.
Legacy reaches milestone with 2,000th kidney transplant
In 1999, Legacy opened its Transplant Services, giving patients with kidney failure a brighter future. This year, our 2,000th patient received the gift of a new kidney. Mary Basile, the first transplant patient at Legacy, reflected on her experience receiving a new kidney under the treatment of Bill Bennett, MD. “Little did I know when I met him that he would save my life not once, but twice,” she said.
