Dr. Amy Hackett is a native Oregonian, born and raised in the Portland area. Dr. Hackett graduated from OHSU’s School of Medicine in 2000, following which, she stayed at OHSU and completed her training in Internal Medicine in 2003. This was followed by returning to OHSU for Nephrology Fellowship. Following completion of her Fellowship in 2006, Dr. Hackett was invited to stay on with the Division of Nephrology at OHSU as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Hackett left academic medicine for private practice in 2010 so that she could focus her attention on direct patient care. Dr. Hackett has been published for her work in basic research, issues surrounding dialysis withdrawal, and the challenges of pregnancy in dialysis patients. It is with great enthusiasm that she joins OKHC where she looks forward to working with others who are equally dedicated to providing only the highest-quality compassionate care to all patients.
