About Me:

Dr. Richard Rosenbaum graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed his internship and residency at Stanford University Hospital. He completed his fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, Medical Neurology Branch and was a Neurology resident at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Rosenbaum has three board certifications including a certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is an expert in the treatment of Parkinsons disease and is the author of the book, Understanding Parkinsons Disease; A Personal and Professional View. Dr. Rosenbaum serves as the Medical Director of the Legacy Parkinson's Program.

felt rushed, didn't address my concerns, brushed me off when I asked about my issues. was not personable at all or acknowledge that I needed immediate help. said on paperwork that he did a test that he did not do.

This was my first visit (on referral) with Dr. Rosenbaum and his staff. They very professionally took my history and had access to my medical background. Dr. Rosenbaum did a physical examination to rule out obvious causes of my foot pain and proposed a plausible diagnosis. Notably, he advised against taking a full course of neurological testing (saving time and money) until the most plausible cause of the pain could be confirmed by a podiatrist. If the diagnosis proved correct, the podiatrist was best placed to propose treatment options.

This was a referral visit and it took 2 mos. to get in. That seemed to be quite a long time.

I really felt suckered by being asked to work with a student, and felt that my time was not being respected as I worked with the student and then when it came time to see the Dr I found myself sitting there listening to everything that we just discussed. It was lengthy and my time with the Dr was used to test and evaluate me but medications were not discussed and the side effects were certainly not explained. I waited a long time for that appointment and should not have been exhausted from the duration of working with the student and have the conversation parts with the Dr (which I feel are very important) to be cut short. I was really hurt that the Dr who had all my medical history, both written and verbal, elected to ask and I was asked both written and verbally "Why are you here?" I felt disrespected and belittled which is so dehumanizing to a patient that is at an appointment for help. My pains were not addressed, but the Dr told me to have my primary care provider request an MRI. I really feel like I am getting the run around with my care and it is depressing and hopeless.

The office referral service neglected to enter a referral from my PCP into the system when originally submitted [date deleted] causing me to wait an additional 2 weeks [date deleted] before I could actually schedule an appointment with Dr. Rosenbaum. By that time, I couldn't get to see him until [date deleted]. As I've indicated, the actual visit with the Dr. Rosenbaum was great, but it took an awfully long time to get to him.

Thorough physical exam including fully detailed tests pertinent to my condition. He's a master at assigning just the right questions without being invasive. As I was told by my former neurologist, he is tops in the field he specializes in - His diagnosis was spot on.

They didn't fix what I needed help with I have a life threatening problem they wouldn't help with. I can't breathe with this pain.

Rosenbaum Richard B. He had a lot of _____ with my explanation was all over the place. He talk slow and answered all questions. He provided information for me we lack about my concerns and he concerns, all all I had a friendly time with my doctor keep up the good work thanks.

I was so impressed by the way that the Dr. treated me. It's rare anymore to find Dr.'s that treat me with such respect and actually listen to all that have to say, all of my concerns, and answer them without making me feel bad. I left his office feeling very happy. I would gladly see him again. I only wish that he as my primary care Dr.!

Dr. Rosenbaum very knowledgeable and professional. I felt he was genuinely interested in providing me the best advice and care. He I gave me options for treatment and follow-up. I felt as if we were partners in managing my health.His assistant was kind and polite. She stated she would call me regarding a test that Dr. Rosenbaum said that he wanted me to have. My visit was yesterday and I have not received a call back this afternoon. When I asked her about when and where to go and if the orders would be sent prior to the appointment, she said that Dr Rosenbaumdid not write or send orders.I was scheduled for an appointment with Dr. Rosenbaum by a case manager from Salmon Creek Legacy Hospital while I was an inpatient. The case manager called me after my discharge to say she had referred me to a neurologist in Portland and that office would contact me. I was not contacted. I had to initiate contact. The office staff I spoke with said she would be sending me information about date and time of appointment and a health questionnaire. I did not receive this information and had to make a second call at which time I was given the doctor's name, appointment date and time and address of the doctor's office.

I did not feel relaxed with this provider. He was not warm and never once smiled at me. not even ONCE and I was there for a full hour for a head to toe neuro exam. I went in there very concerned about my condition. I think he is super smart and I trust him to help me, but a wee bit of warmth or a simple smile would have been nice. The DO that interviewed me first didn't smile either.

I filled out prescription and history info at front desk. The nurse did not have that info and asked me the same questions. Then the Dr asked me the same questions. That was very frustrating. Other than that, everything was excellent.

After driving three hours and calling as directed if late, I was not seen. The "dr." refused to see me, because I was 20 min. late. This was a hard ship. I am rescheduled for October. Who care?

Dr Rosenbaum was nice enough but he was not open to the questions I had. I felt like he either thought I was a hypochondriac or had searched the web. the responses were somewhat condescending. I don't think he meant to or realized it, but as an advocate for my own health, I didn't feel heard.

I cannot say some of it or the provider would know who is answering the surgery. Suffice it to say that he treated me with disrespect, didn't listen, wasn't current on an update and thus wouldn't consider some things that he should consider. He came across as having made some "bad" judgment about me in his mind and demeanor which translated into not being open minded and not providing quality and unbiased service. And after all, I am paying for a service and not to be judged inappropriately.

I felt the provider didn't have a very good bedside manner. I am very hard of hearing and had to keep repeating for him to repeat himself after I told him I wear hearing aid's. I don't feel I really got the answers I was seeking from this provider.
