Our cellular therapy team

When your Legacy Cancer Institute doctor recommends cellular therapy, you’ll work with a team of experts who specialize in transplant care and can help you understand what to expect during treatment and recovery.

Autologous transplant physicians meet credentialing criteria based on national standards of the Foundation for Cellular Therapy. The nursing staff receives speciality training in transplantation and must update certification annually.

Our transplant nurse coordinator helps with: 
  • Pre-transplant evaluation
  • Education for recipients and families
  • Insurance authorization
  • Coordination of care from initial referral to long-term follow-up

Our support team help you and your family with physical, emotional and spiritual needs. The support team may include:

  • Clergy
  • Medical social worker
  • Occupational therapist
  • Physical therapist
  • Dietitian
  • Massage therapist

Our facilities 

The inpatient transplant unit has six dedicated transplant rooms with HEPA-filtered air systems. 

Additionally, patients and family members from out of town can utilize low-cost, on-campus lodging at the Green Gables Guest House.
