Legacy Health foundation boards announce new trustees
PORTLAND, Ore., July 16, 2026 — Legacy Health is pleased to announce the election of new trustees to several of its foundation boards. Trustees serve an invaluable role in our philanthropic work as leaders in fundraising, advocacy and grant oversight.
Good Samaritan Foundation
Brad Houle, CFA, serves as Ferguson Wellman’s head of fixed income and is a member of their Investment Policy Committee. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, he spent 17 years with Davidson Investment Advisors. He has been a member of the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of Portland since 1999. His community involvement includes service on the boards of the Arlington Club, the Children’s Institute, and the Red Cross Cascades Region.
Gina Westhoff, MD is a gynecologic oncologist at Legacy Health and medical director of Legacy Medical Group – Gynecologic Oncology. She sits on the medical advisory board of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Oregon & Southwest Washington and is a former board member of Project Access NOW.
Susan Workman is a retired financial services professional and an active community volunteer. A native of Portland, her career includes executive positions at U.S. Bank’s Treasury Management Service and Weston Reynolds Capital Management. She served on the board of William Temple House for five years, including two terms as board president. An active member of Trinity Episcopal, she has been a contributor to and editor of the church’s literary journal, The Red Door.
Anne Becker Miller is a native Portlander and third generation Oregonian. Anne has worked in retail, special education and travel. For the last 15 years, she has owned Gluten Free Gem, a dedicated gluten-free bakery in Northeast Portland. Anne’s previous community engagement work includes service work with the National Charity League and leading the Portland Art Museum’s Young at Art program.
Randall Children’s Hospital Foundation
Dana Hargunani, MD is a health policy leader and licensed pediatrician. She is the founding director and president of 4BCS, a nonprofit that collaborates with organizations and governments to implement community-driven strategies that achieve sustainable improvements in community health. Prior to founding 4BCS, she served as chief medical officer for the Oregon Health Authority for five years.
Marie Malsam is a Certified Public Accountant for Teresa J. Spada, CPA and serves as an owner of United Salad Co., a fourth-generation family-owned business. In her leadership role, she oversees finance, accounting, and human resources, ensuring operational excellence and long-term growth. She is committed to fostering sustainable growth, supporting philanthropic initiatives and building strong teams that thrive in a collaborative environment.
Diane M. McKeel has dedicated her career to public service, community development and education in East Multnomah County. In community leadership, she served as the Executive Director of the West Columbia Gorge Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center from 1998 to 2008 before being elected Multnomah County Commissioner for District 4, where she served from 2009 to 2016. Her other board service includes Mt. Hood Community College and Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mount Hood Medical Center (under Legacy Health Foundation)
Elizabeth Lopez-Aguado is a dedicated community leader and volunteer with a strong background in service and organizational management. Since moving to Sandy, Oregon in 2020, she has been an active member of Sandy Rotary, serving as Treasurer, Club President, and Youth Exchange Officer. She also volunteers with Mt. Hood Community College, assisting in scholarship application evaluations.
Meridian Park Medical Center (under Legacy Health Foundation)
Cheryl Dotten was a 22-year employee of Legacy Health, including a position of Manager of Rehabilitation Services at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center encompassing Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy. She is a founding member of the Women of Meridian Park philanthropic group and was also on the planning committee for the Meridian Park Healing Garden. She is active in her church’s outreach programs and supports the arts in the Lake Oswego community.
Amie Zawacki, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician with a broad clinical background in outpatient and community-based care. Her medical training and professional experience emphasize continuity of care, preventive medicine, and the care of individuals and families across the lifespan. In addition to her foundation in family medicine, Dr. Zawacki has worked in physician-led medical aesthetics practices, gaining valuable insight into patient-centered care delivery, practice operations, regulatory standards, and interdisciplinary team leadership.
Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation
Leif “Dave” Ericksen is senior vice president and managing director of commercial healthcare banking at Columbia Bank, where he has worked since 2020. His career previously included positions at KeyBank and U.S. Bank. He is currently a board member of the American Heart Association – Oregon & SW Washington chapter’s Go Red for Women initiative.
Jason Presser is a mortgage loan officer at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, where he has worked since 2017. Jason is the volunteer business representative for the Solid Waste Advisory Commission of Clark County. He is a past board president of the Fruit Valley Foundation, EPICC (Empowering Professionals in Clark County) and Ridgefield Business Association, where he served as Treasurer. He has also been an assistant coach with Clark County Youth Football.
Alicia “Lisa” Lowe is a partner at Schwabe, serving as partner in charge at the Vancouver office with a practice focused on trusts, estate and tax planning and representation of port and maritime clients. Lisa’s current community participation includes service with Columbia River Economic Development Council, Empower Women + Girls and The Community Foundation of Southwest Washington.
Silverton Health Foundation
Elizabeth Blount, MD is a family medicine physician practicing at Legacy Medical Group – Silverton Family Medicine. Dr. Blount earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California Davis and her M.D. from the University of California College of Medicine at Irvine. She completed her residency at Community Hospital of Sonoma County, after which she continued to practice medicine in Santa Rosa.
Andrew “Andy” Ulven is the co-founder, former president and retired owner of The Ulven Companies, a group of forging manufacturing businesses based in Hubbard. Andy serves on the board of the Oregon Garden Foundation and Elks Lodge – Silverton Chapter.
Alex Bahrke graduated from Oregon Health & Science University in 2009 and began his career at Silverton Hospital as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). In addition to his clinical practice, Alex works as a Clinical Coordinator for Oregon Health & Science University students rotating through Legacy Silverton Medical Center, where he mentors and supports future nurse anesthetists during their training. Alex has also served as Treasurer for the Oregon Association of Nurse Anesthetists and as a board member for Silver Creek Montessori Preschool.
