Covid-19 vaccination requirements

Legacy Health strives to protect patients, caregivers, caregivers’ family members, students and the community from COVID-19 through vaccines based on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. Effective September 30, 2021, all candidates who accept a position with Legacy Health must have received the complete dosing regimen of one of the COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or possess an approved medical or religious exemption. Failure to do so will result in rescission of the conditional offer of employment. Verification of a new hire’s COVID-19 vaccination status, or administration of an exemption, will be conducted during the new hire onboarding process. Legacy Health System will consider requests for a medical or religious exemption considering narrow, evidence based, bona fide religious and/or medical condition that conflicts with the vaccine.

Those granted exemption may be required to participate in additional monitoring or safety measures as required by Legacy Health.
