CPR courses

Legacy Health is currently using the AHA blended learning option for BLS certification which involves two parts.  Part one consists of the completion of the HeartCode BLS online course.  Part two requires attending an in-person skills validation session.  Once both components are successfully completed, the BLS certification eCard is issued.  Legacy Health is NOT currently offering traditional classroom BLS certification courses.

Legacy Health offers the AHA HeartCode BLS certification course for both Legacy employees and non-Legacy community members requiring certification for healthcare providers.

For those who are not healthcare providers, please email for information regarding the AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED certification classes.

Organ and tissue requestor training

The organ and tissue requestor courses prepare the participant with the knowledge and skills to work with families for organ, eye and tissue donation. This is a national program, sponsored by the Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank. To become a “requestor” each participant takes an initial course and renews annually through an online recertification course. Visit the Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank website for more information.

Recertification training

Each requestor who has completed the Initial Requestor training course must take the Recertification training annually thereafter. This course is offered online for convenient and "just-in-time" training. The estimated time to complete the recertification training is one hour.
