Remote access to Legacy clinical apps is changing
The portal you use to connect to Legacy Epic and other applications when working remotely is being redirected to a new site that uses Password Plus, powered by Duo, to further confirm your identity. When it rolls out this summer, MyPortal becomes the new one-stop site for access to many applications, while helping to protect Legacy from cyber threats. Moving forward, you’ll need to use Password Plus to access Epic and other clinical applications remotely, so make sure you’ve registered your device. Read here to find out if you’re prepared. >>
Legacy midwife begins prestigious fellowship to support integrated maternity care and addiction treatment
The Bloomberg American Health Initiative at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health recently announced Diana Louise Smith, CNM, Legacy Medical Group–Midwifery, as one of the 2019 cohort of Bloomberg Fellows. She was chosen for her work with Project Nurture, a program that provides prenatal care, inpatient maternity care, and postpartum care for women whose lives are affected by addiction. Read more>>

- Steven L. Mansberger, M.D., MPH, ophthalmologist, is the new clinical vice president and the Chenoweth Chair of the Legacy Devers Eye Institute.
- Legacy Cancer Institute has earned the Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer, for the fourth cycle in a row.
- R. Bryan Bell, M.D., DDS, FACP, gave the Presidential Lecture at the 24th International Conference on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Rio de Janeiro.
