Welcome new committee members
LHP’s four committees will be getting an infusion of new talent and expertise in 2019 as 14 new members come on board. Learn who is representing you and guiding the work of LHP by visiting the LHP website pages for the LHP Committees: Population Health Services, Quality and Membership, Finance and Contracting, and the Clinical Collaboration Performance Improvement subcommittee.
The LHP Board of Managers and leadership team thank those providers and practice administrators who have committed hours of time and shared their experience and knowledge in support of our clinically integrated network. For those of you who finished your terms or left a committee last year, we thank you. We hope you will continue to make your voices heard through interactions with your Field Operations Advisers or other channels.
New 2019 contracts
This month, Legacy Health Partners is launching three new populations as a result of new contracts with Cigna, Moda Health, and UnitedHealthcare. The Cigna Collaborative Accountable Care Agreement bundles up existing PPO plans and lives currently attributed to LHP providers, similar to the Aetna and United Commercial ACO Agreements. This agreement will bring additional incentive dollars to the network. The Moda Cornerstone Individual Exchange product and United Navigate product are new fee-for-service products in the market that highlight the LHP network. These products represent LHP's continued effort to provide practices access to new patients. Learn about our contracts on the Contracting page of the LHP team site.
LHP Learning Module reminder
The majority of LHP providers have completed a learning module and will earn points on their LHP clinical integration scorecard. For those of you who have not yet completed a module (you need complete just one), you have until January 11 to do so. Here’s the list of available modules, which includes descriptions of each and instructions for accessing them through E+. It's easy to do, the topics are interesting, and it won't take much of your time - most modules are about 20 minutes long.
Financial incentive methodology changes
The LHP incentive design and process went through a significant overhaul for 2018 and 2019. A notable change for 2019 is that there will be a "high impact" tier of two specialties, gastroenterology and orthopedics. Because these specialties have a lot of potential to improve population health and reduce the total cost of care, LHP is changing the incentive methodology to make these specialists eligible to receive a greater proportion of the clinical integration incentive payout than in the past. Review the “Pay for Value” information sheet on the Incentive Distribution page of the LHP team site.
