About Me:

I enjoy treating patients of all ages, incorporating the mind and body to treat the "whole patient". I grew up in Dallas, TX and moved to Pennsylvania for medical school. I then moved to South Florida for residency. I moved to Portland, Oregon in 2018. I enjoy traveling, tennis, cooking, horticulture, home-improvement projects, and spending time with family.

Dr. Phan is extremely nice and was very thorough during my appointment. He listened to my concerns and gave me strategies to try out over the next few months. My appointment did not feel rushed and I appreciate the time Dr. Phan spent with me. He went above and beyond during my Pap smear exam and checked in with me throughout to assess my pain and comfort levels and swapped out equipment during the exam to make me as comfortable as possible.

I ended my association with Albert Phan today (080224) as my PCP. Overall it's my opinion I'm NOT getting the level of care I need from him. His staff has been a delight to work with. It's a long story; not suitable for this survey. As for the survey; it's biased to achieve a positive result regardless of the options provided. The questions about "gender" and "race" are inappropriate, and there's NO Option for "Does Not Apply". Dr Camara has been my Cardiologist since my bypass surgery in 02/20. I like her. But I will most like be changing out of the Legacy Group for my healthcare needs.

Dr Phan and his office staff are very good, polite, kind and considerate. They're also very patient with others who come after me while I'm in the waiting room. I particularly like Dr Phan because he is thorough. He makes sure to answer any and all questions and more importantly he educates you. I appreciate that.

It is difficult to get in touch with anyone when calling. Mychart is easier to use however, options to schedule appts are tricky. The system limits to video calls. Appts are booked far out so, it is tough getting an appt within a month.

Great visit, really like my provider. I think the ony feedback would be, if the doctor knows they are going to be taking blood, they should send a text reminder the day before on when we should fast, otherwise it can affect the results.

The xray tech closed and left before 4 on a work day so I could not get an important chest x ray from my heart attack. Very frustrating.

This was a welcome introduction to a new provider. He was well prepared, he checked my chart and prior test results and gave me advice related to those tests. Very impressed and happy to have him as my new primary care physician!

Only thing I thought inappropriate at visit when asked for a copy of my lab results. Receptionist stated I would have to ask the Dr. I supplied my insurance card and photo ID. Labs are my information. There should be no further question and it should be given to me if my id is verifiable. If sn office person is not reputable to give me that info there should be no problem Over regulation by the government is a problem for everyone. Costs go up and people suffer for it. The Dr gave me my labs and thoughly explained everything. Very professional. I was a nurse for 40 years and got do burned out from the stress, regulation and constant changes in the rules. The treatment of Covid pts and medical personnel is an example. This is one reason for ridiculous high cost and overreach.

Dr. Phan is a wonderful Doctor. He answers all questions, listens very carefully. He was very prepared for today's visit and contacted me about test results before the visit. I'm telling my entire family about Dr. Phan's excellent care!

Always have had good experiences with Legacy. I have moved pretty far away from the office, but I keep coming here because of the service provided. Although if I could magically move you guys closer I so would, envy that my wife's doctor is a mere 7 minutes away.

I've never received care this good, ever, in my entire life. Dr. Phan is the gold standard. I'm beyond impressed. However, and this is NOT Dr. Phan's fault, it is Legacy's, I had to wait 4 months to get into my new provider (Dr. Phan) and had to stretch my amitriptyline by an extra month because I didn't have an extra prescription to get me through the total 4 month wait to get in. As a result, I was so stressed without my amitriptyline I caused three menstrual cycles in one month. That is not okay.

This was a 'new patient' appointment with Dr Albert Phan. I felt he was extremely thorough in reviewing all my medical information and I had no problem asking questions and was given very understandable answers. After the appointment I had [for me] somewhat normal response to getting blood samples and discussed possibly going to the Lab in the future.

Dr Phan is my new provider as Dr.Taher left. Dr Phan has done an excellent job of making me feel comfortable. He was aware of my medical issues and I felt very assured of his medical expertise.

I was offended by the LGBTQ flag pins that I saw on personnell. This country was founded on christian values. LGBTQ is anti-christ and offensive to those of us with faith. I will be looking for a provider that doesn't openly promote LGBTQ ideals.

Dr Farooqi treated me for pain issues and was great. Dr Phan changed me to a known potentially harmful med without scheduling bloodwork for potential problems (diabetes). All Dr missed that statin use had created CoQ10 depletion that led to muscle weakness, joint pain and inflammation. I had to research this myself and, once corrected, my health began improving almost immediately.

Dr. Phan is very caring, listens very carefully and outlined a health care plan that was easy to understand and accomplish. I was impressed with his preparation for our afternoon visit, citing he read my medical record this morning and was thoroughly knowledgeable about my health history. Dr. Phan is a wonderful primary care.

Dr. Phan has helped me reverse my diabetes. My BG level was so high the A1C tester and my finger prick tester couldn't provide results. Now my A1C is 6.0 and only on metformin. My relatives have died from diabetes on both sides of my family. I thought I was doomed just like them. I was really scared. Dr. Phan reversed my diabetes pretty quickly. I am really grateful for his guidance and helping me turn my life around.

Unable to reach anyone by phone. Can only try to schedule video calls through My health. Difficult to schedule in person appointments or get blood work done. Like my doctor, but ready to go somewhere else.
