About Me:

Dr. Amy Tong was named one of Portland’s Top Doctors in 2021 by Portland Monthly Magazine. Dr. Tong's clinical interests include diseases of the cornea and corneal transplant surgery, complex cataract surgery, and refractive surgery. She completed her undergraduate studies in biology at Duke University, graduating magna cum laude. She subsequently attended the Duke University School of Medicine, where she obtained her M.D. degree. She completed her medical internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, in San Jose, CA, and then returned to Durham, North Carolina, to complete her ophthalmology residency at the Duke Eye Center. Dr. Tong went on to complete a fellowship in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery at the University of Michigan’s Kellogg Eye Center. Dr. Tong loves getting to know her patients and working together as a team to improve their vision.
