About Me:

Dr. Carter is a board-certified family medicine physician with Legacy Medical Group–Silverton Family Medicine. Dr. Carter earned her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she was part of the Targeted Rural Underserved Track focused on training physicians to serve rural and medically underserved communities. She went on to complete her residency in family medicine at Tacoma Family Medicine, a program nationally recognized for its emphasis on comprehensive family medicine, obstetrics, and inpatient care. She provides full spectrum care including obstetrics, inpatient medicine, and women’s health, and maintains full surgical obstetrics privileges at Legacy Silverton Hospital. Dr. Carter’s professional interests include maternal and newborn care, rural medicine, and global health. She has conducted and published research on maternal outcomes during labor and has volunteered extensively in international health settings.

Dr. Carter is one of the best drs I've ever had. She listens, is thoughtful in her responses and understands my approach to my health. She communicates clearly when I need to do something, so I understand the reason and doesn't assume.
