Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Ly is a primary care physician at Legacy Medical Group-Northwest. He received his medical degree from the OHSU School of Medicine, and completed residency at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. He enjoys treating patients from all walks of life and has a special interest in transgender care. Prior to medical school, he worked in finance and developed a practice of investing early and redeeming dividends later. He uses the same principles in medicine, helping patients invest into their health early and experience valuable benefits over time. Dr. Ly is not accepting new patients at this time. Dr Ly was extraordinary. He was sharp. He was a good communicator. He was empathic. He was explanatory. I loved him. I would love him for my primary care physician, but he's not taking new patients.

I love Dr Ly! He helped me sort through jargon questions about the paperwork and reassured me about my underlying worries / anxieties without needing to be asked/prompted. I always have a really nice wholistic exp where I'm fully listened to & taken seriously when I come to visit.

Dr. Ben Ly is an extraordinary provider. He is smart and humble (always leveraging real time access to research to explore and bolster his thinking). He is light-hearted and personable taking time to establish rapport and know the person in front of him in a way which encourages trust and diminishes angst. He is detail oriented and creates plans of attack for managing health perplexities with resolve and focus. He cares deeply. He is an excellent communicator and is also quick to communicate test results and respond to messaging. He is one of the best doctors I have ever had and I am lucky to have had many great doctors.

In the many years Dr Ly has been my primary care physician, there are no words that can express how well he has cared for me. While all my experiences at Legacy have been good, nothing comes close to the care I have received from Dr Ly. I am 83, and very aware of the effects that aging has on my body. Dr Ly carefully monitors my health with that in mind. We discuss options for my continuing care every question I have is answered thoroughly he clearly cares for me. I came to him on the recommendation of patients who could not say enough about the quality of his care, as did several other of his peers.
