Patient Rating

Legacy wants every patient to have great care, every time. To help measure and improve patient satisfaction, we send surveys to randomly selected patients after their appointments. We use this feedback from the surveys to improve and enhance the care we offer. It works like this: Real patients give us feedback through Press Ganey, a patient satisfaction survey company. They verify and confirm the results. National Research Corporation, an independent company, provides the technology to show the ratings and comments on our website

I appreciate that Dr Bederka defined his perspective being a surgeon and that my condition might be better served by a colleague who deals with non surgical issues of an orthopedic nature. Even though I work in medicine, orthopedics is not my specialty and I depend on the providers to direct me to the best person for my ailment. Doing the right thing does not always generate money but it does generate respect and good health

It would be nice to know in advance that we weren't seeing the physician, but the PA.

Overall, our (I brought my [age deleted] son who is the patient) experience was very good. However, since our appointment was scheduled for 8:15, we were surprised and dismayed at the very long wait time. We arrived at the office at 8:05. We were taken to the exam room at 8:30 and did not see the doctor until 9:15. this felt like a very long wait, especially for such an early appointment time. We were literally the first car in the parking lot.

Too many nurses before surgery and the hospital chaplain did not need to introduce himself. The doctor did not come see me after surgery

Made appointment 2 weeks ahead of time ,I was told they would get all my info from previous doctor. They did not have my x-rays which is affecting doctors ability to diagnose. very frustrating....

Dr Bederka is no doubt a competent doctor but he does not do well with children. We often work Dr Bederka through PA, Stephen Lenssen and now I see why. Our daughter is very active and this appointment was very painful with her & the doctor in the same room. She was acting like a normal 6yo but he could not have been more visibly annoyed.

Had to go from [location deleted] just to see this doctor on the day of surgery. We rushed through bad traffic to get there by 9:30 (we arrived at 9:00) only to have to wait until 10:15 to be seen. We then had to rush to Randall's Children's hospital to try and be there by 11 for check in for surgery. There must be an easier way...

My son, [name deleted], has a meniscus tear on his right knee from a skateboarding injury. [details deleted to protect privacy] We scheduled the appointment with Dr. Bederka and were able to get a timely appointment. Both the staff and the Dr were great. My only feedbak is that Dr. Bederka needs to be more sensitive to his young patients emotional state due to an injury. My [age deleted] old son is very depressed and he has put on weight from being unable to exercise (as he used to). I had to ask Dr. Bederka to give my son a positive "talk" on recovery and encouraging physical therapy possibly through swimming so my son does not feel lost. Of course, Dr. Bederka gave my son positive feedback AFTER I asked him to -- and it made an immediate difference! I think doctors need to connect all the dots -- it is not just the physical injury -- patients get very depressed. The emotional feelings also need to be addressed. I look forward to working with Dr. Bederka to give my son a good road map to his recovery that includes appropriate physical therapy so he is not sitting all day waiting for his knee to heal. Introducing swimming would be great! [details deleted to protect privacy] I appreciate your survey. It is a great way for the patient, staff, doctors and hospital administration to work together toward a positive outcome. Thank you!

Dr. Bederka, Stephen L, and both techs who checked me in are amazing. I received the best medical care and could not have been more pleased. I feel I have received the treatment of a king. Thank you.
