Todo bien

I was specific in my intake information that I needed to see a provider about knee replacement. The provider I saw within the first 3 minutes let me know that he was unable to provide the care that I was going to need. So I feel like my time was wasted when I'll have to see a different provider.

This Doctor was honestly the most dismissive, "one case fits all" practitioner I have ever encountered in my entire life. He looked at me for just a few seconds, didn't even try the sames range of motion than the other doctors I've seen for this injury. He didn't even ask questions about myself, my lifestyle or absolutely anything remotely related to my health. He looked at me and said "you need surgery" right away. He didn't suggest nor even mentioned absolutely any other methods or procedures. I talked to 2 other orthopedic doctors after my appointment with this doctor and they mentioned/offered me alternative treatments right away.I think that if a medical professional is going to charge as much as this doctor does, their should be trained in all cutting edge medical technologies and new methods of healing vs having such an archaic and limited approach to medicine. It honestly didn't even seem like this doctor care about his patients nor had any genuine interest in the patient's health (at least in my case). This doctor was a waste of my time and money and I'm extremely dissatisfied with his practices

I was given some pretty upsetting news about the extent of my injury - but wasn't asked about my history/occupation/hobbies, my goals for recovery, what to expect related to surgery/recovery, what to do in the time until surgery could be scheduled and so on. Just "here's what we're looking at, someone should follow up soon." I'm feeling really scared and defeated.

The provider did not read my history before seeing me. It took a great deal of work to get him all my medical records he didn't read them before the gist and then argued with me about my pain and where it should or shouldn't be. I am going to see a different orthopedic surgeon at OHSU. He also piled my left so far apart to see the severe of my dislocation that I was having a hard time breathing through my tears and pain. He refused me pain medication. On my way out. I puked in the street. Twice. When I called the nurse to explain and ask for help she continued to argue with me and was incredibly rude. She was hurtful and mean. No empathy. Worst experience ever.

Berderka was great. He not only explained everything clearly to my daughter but he would address her directly and treated her like the patient not just a minor. I really appreciated his bedside manner.
