About Me:

Dr. Isenbarger originally entered medical school with the goal of practicing tropical medicine (working up cases of fever across the African continent), which transitioned into study of vaccinology and epidemiology for several productive years with the military in South and Southeast Asia. Eventually, though, he sought a return to clinical medicine, retraining in cardiovascular disease. He gets the most professional satisfaction from helping patients regain optimal functional capacity and quality of life, through improved exercise ability and freedom from pain. Some of his primary clinical interests include coronary artery intervention, peripheral vascular disease/intervention, critical limb ischemia/limb salvage, mesenteric ischemia, and renal artery disease. Outside of work, he spends most of his time trying to be a responsible grownup, and a good parent and husband, while fitting in surfing and golf as often as possible!

I am impressed with professionalism so far but was my first visit

The Dr. Is fine but given the fact that he was forced to lie to me I'd say that isn't ok.

Dr. Isenbarger had reviewed my medical history and seemed to understand my concerns. He also had game plan that I understand and like. It was the first time I had seen him and I thought it went very well.

This was an in-take & 1st visit w/ Dr. Isenbarger. The process of finally finding my way to this physician/ clinic and to recieve a diagnosis I feel confident about has taken me 8 years of navigating the health care system via other clinics, doctors, two halter monitors w/ other docs, a variety of diagnoses, and finally BINGO! I am very grateful to have reached the doc at The Portland Clinic who made this referral & to have landed w/ your group. Many thanks! It has since taken taken 3 weeks (and repeated calls) to get scheduled for f/up of Dr. Isenbarger's referral to Electrophysiology, and an alternate MD than his suggestion. And I'll be seen (a week from tomorrow) @ 4 wks out from his original referral. Still, I'm thankful!

I only have one complaint. Scheduling appointments process Is cumbersome. Don't tell the patient to wait on the line to talk to someone. No one ever comes on the line. Just tell us to leave a phone number for a call back.
