Dr. Dunn is board certified in internal medicine. She earned a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Midwestern University's Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a fellowship and residency in internal medicine at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland. Her clinical interests include weight management, preventative medicine and minor office procedures. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, vegetable gardening, trying new recipes in the kitchen and playing the piano. Dr. Dunn is taking new patients.

while I love my doctor, legacy NW has frequently been a pain. I've had my correct pronouns put on my chart several times but it never seems to stay in your system. the wait time for appointments is also way too long

This was my first appointment with this Dr. I have a follow-up in 4 weeks. I had to change health care from one insurance to another and getting the right fit with a new Dr. can be difficult. I felt I needed more time, the appt. was abruptly cut short due to the allotted time set for the visit. I would like to see how things go on my next visit , and I'm looking forward to getting to know Dr. Dunn better. She is very friendly and personable, and I'm hoping she will understand my needs and that we can work together on my weight loss, chronic pain and osteoarthritis issues. I will have more information after the follow up.

This was my first visit with Dr. Dunn as my new provider (after Dr. Zeller retiring and Dr. Van Havre being kicked out of the country by the orange one). I was very comfortable with Dr. Dunn as she is down to earth, easy to talk to, she listens well, she expects a discussion about choices and even though she looks like she is just out of high school, she clearly knows her stuff. AND she has a good sense of humor!! Somebody please pay off her student loans. How else is she going to stay in such an expensive city!! We need good doctors here! Keep her! (I don't want to change to another doctor!). I have already recommended her to my partner, who is in the same predicatment of finding a new doctor.

Dr. Dunn is an amazing doctor. she is bright and compassionate. I ama physician (specialist) and I tell all my patients to see Dr. Dunn for their primary care doctor as she is great! I also recommend her to my staff and my friends. Legacy is lucky to have Dr. Dunn!

Dr. Dunn explained why pneumonia shot is recommended but said it was up to me. Adjusted my insulin and suggested another means of testing and a different diabetic specialist.

In my 73 years experience, Dr. Dunn is by far the BEST doctor I have ever had. In my opinion she is without peer. She is a rare gem. I would love to move away from Portland but Dr. Dunn and the team at the Cardio Pulmonary Gym are the reason I stay put. I cannot imagine a doctor or a team of rehab specialists that could possibly be any better. They are the best.

This was my first visit with Dr Dunn. She listened to my concerns and advised me on possible treatments that could be done. Lab tests were ordered before further followup. The visit was a positive experience.

Please note that this was my first visit to this provider since moving to Portland. She was highly recommended to me and I liked her a lot - she asked good questions and was engaging. With regard to the question of my medical records, I asked my provider to send them to Legacy prior to my appt and I assume they were reviewed. You may want to ask in this survey if it was the first visit or not. It provides perspective on my answers.

Dr. Dunn was cheerful and respectful. But I am not sure she always heard my questions. She jumped to conclusions on two different occasions and I felt it was just too much effort to get back on track. Once had to do with my interest and seeing an ENT about the ringing in my ears that has intensified this spring. She began to talk about hearing loss. I didn't say anything about hearing loss and I don't think I have any hearing loss for that matter. The other was when I asked her if she planned to be around seeing patients for the long term. (I would still be seeing Dr. Ly, whom I liked, but he has reduced his patient hours and is now doing some other non-patient project.) So I was asking if that was going to happen with her practice, too. Instead she told me how much she loved her work, talked about whether she had plans to have more children and how much medical school debt she had which required her to continue working. On both of those occasions I did not feel heard.

Dr. Dunn is so caring. You can tell she genuinely wants to help her patients. Plus the office itself runs efficiently. The lab, however, could use some help but that's for a different survey I guess.

this appointment was my first with my new doctor. my previous one retired. so, Dr. Dunn reviewed my history and made it a point to try to get to know me better. I was impressed with her interest and her professionalism! Regarding her interest, I explained that I'm partner in a drag race team, Disturbed Racing Team. she immediately went and looked up our website and watched a video of one of our runs.

this was my first appointment with Dr. Dunn because my last provider had to leave the practice. Dr Dunn was thoughtful and very knowledgeable. She knew my history and was helpful in making a plan of care for my blood pressure as well as my current knee pain. I am very happy that I will be seeing Dr.Dunn as my PCP.

Md was ill the day of my original exam, I received NO notification from her staff of the appointment being cancelled until I arrived to check in. I was told a phone message had been left by the office manager, but I never received any on my cell phone nor on my home line with message option. Very frustrating to arrange work, child care, etc and put up with driving into the area. I'm planning to look for new primary care closer to home.

I have been a Legacy patient for approximately 9 - 10 years (?) and have had the BEST med. care ever. My first two excellent doctors retired, and now Dr. Jacqueline Dunn is just as excellent as the first two (thank goodness, she's not close to retirement age!). Nobody could hope for better attention from the reception to the doctor to the follow-up (e.g., blood work, x-ray, etc.). In 2017 or 2018 (?) I had to go to the emergency room, and even they were outstanding. Your hallways and waiting rooms are clean. Honestly, I am more than grateful for the professionalism and care provided by Legacy and appreciate this opportunity to express this.

In Feb. I spent 1 day in the hospital. Diagnosis transient global anemia. All of the people we came in contact with were very efficient & friendly. I left the hospital feeling confident that all relevant testing had been done and that I was well informed. THANKS. Related to all care. Dr. Dunn has been my doctor for a very short time. Visits are friendly and seem thorough. Based on this SHORT relationship don't feel very qualified to make a referral. This does not mean any lack of respect for her qualifications. She is very personable and pleasant. During my visits she has been a VERY PRESENT and a good listener.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Dunn. The purpose of my visit was to establish a relationship with a new primary care physician as my previous one had retired. Overall, my appt was great and made me feel good about the choice to see Dr. Dunn. Everyone, including the Front Desk staff, were friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. After seeing Dr. Dunn I feel optimistic towards my future health care with her and the Legacy Hospitals.

This was my first visit. I love my new doctor (Jacquelyn Dunn). The room for improvement would be to offer her staff to pre-approve a test instead of having me do it. I don't speak the language and was told by my insurance co. that I needed 4 pieces of information. [details deleted to protect privacy] ALL THIS IS CURRENTLY RECTIFIED. If a test is ordered and it has CAUSE [details deleted to protect privacy] then maybe in house office could help UP FRONT because that is what inevitably happened - Thanks - Allison.

While Dr. Dunn and her assistants are excellent, I have to note that the lab is understaffed. And why is a phlebotomist dealing with clerical issues? Waste of talents. The check-in screen is just that -- for checking in. It does not provide paperwork or ask for signatures. May I suggest added a dedicated admin to expedite the process and let the lab folks do what they are trained for. I had two forty-minute waits and was given mis information which resulted in a third visit.

This seems to be a common issue for me. PCP's assume & know that we are finished w/the appt., and walk out with me left wondering if he/she is returning or I am to leave. I wish they would shake my hand and say "see you next time" or simply say, "we are done for today.' Maybe it's me; maybe I'm just dense!

Legacy lab orders expire after 3 mo even if order is for longer. It requires extra work from providers office, but they are quick to resolve.

My visits with Legacy have been uniformly good. This questionnaire misses an important point--I seldom phone the doctor's office but use MyHealth. Responses have always been timely and helpful. It's much better than using the telephone

This appointment was for a wellness exam. We discussed issues from my physical exam. She gave me a brace to replace my old one for my wrist problem and the assistant irrigated my ears to remove cerumen from my ear. I don't have medical problems and feel confident when I do have problems I will be well cared for.

I like to think that this visit was an exception to the rule. I have been with this office for four years and been a Medicare patient. Somehow, my "annual exam" that I was set up for was not reflecting the Medicare status. I was at the office for well over an hour, perhaps 1 1/2 hours)before I saw the doctor while a very curt and business like assistant took me through the Medicare protocols. Her bedside manner just made me uncomfortable. I had actually never been through that particular "drill" before. The doctor was certainly pleasant and answered my questions. I felt like there was no verbal wrap up with regards to follow up. I was handed a After Visit Summary that I didn't read until I got home. The summary said I was to go to room 360 for a blood work up. Well, I knew that I needed a blood work up but I thought I would be required to fast for 8 hours. In other words, I guess if I had read the hand out, I would know to go up and do that blood test right away. The experience was not user friendly. Dr. Dunn is new to me.

Everyone was very professional. Dr. Dunn is a great listener and her explanations are very clear. if I needed more information to make a decision on medication she took the time to explain why I should take it with the understanding that we could revisit the medication later. Not related to this visit: she always gets back to me in a timely manner if I send her a message. She is a great addition to the Legacy Clinic.

I needed to see a doc soon [details deleted to protect privacy]; Dr. Marr was out of town so the scheduler worked me in with Dr. Dunn the next AM. I appreciated this quick attention. I was then able to continue with PT care, after seeing Dr. Dunn, on the same day. This weekend I feel much improved and reassured. thanks

this was my first time visit with this this was my first time seeing a doctor at legacy and I was very impressed on her knowledge and her skills .I'm glad I made the move from Portland clinic

Jacquelyn is amazing. she took the time to listen to what I had to say and gave me treatment options based off of that. she was kind, respectful, and funny. Something I haven't had before in a provider. I would recommend her to all.

Dr. Dunn is the best doctor I have ever had. She listens, provides excellent suggestions that always improve my health. She is resourceful, intelligent, innovative and proactive. Additionally, she is empathetic, makes you feel like you matter, has an excellent sense of humor, is easy to talk to, and she never fails to follow-up. In short, in my opinion, she has no equal-simply the best.

although my visit was a yearly exam the Dr. listened to my concern regarding what I thought was a pulled muscle in my hip that was causing me severe pain. Sh explained the consequences of not having that treated right away. I was given a shot, explained that it might not be covered by insurance without having to wait another day for additional apointment. Less the 24 hours later the pain is almost gone and I'm walking without a limp! Thank you for taking the time to really listen.

Dr. Dunn was on leave earlier this year. I thought I would be dealing with Dr. Moses while Dr. Dunn was away. Dr. Moses had been my doc before she retired, so was familiar with my history. Each time I had a problem, I had appointments with different docs. One time in [date deleted], a blood test was ordered. It revealed that I was anemic but I heard no followup until my annual physical last week. 5 months later.
