About Me:

Dr. McCarthy is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon is a native of the Pacific Northwest who completed his undergraduate education at Honors College of Oregon State University followed by medical school at Dartmouth Medical School in New England. Bridging the divide of medicine-or-surgery, he completed a residency in general pediatrics medicine and plastic and reconstructive surgery at Dartmouth and UW-Madison Wisconsin, respectively. He has practiced at the University of Colorado Health in Northern Colorado since 2016 specializing in hand/wrist and microsurgery for breast reconstruction, treatment of lymphedema, limb salvage, and creative problem solving. He is committed to research and innovation developing a new technology for contrast enhanced peripheral nerve imaging using CT. Dr. McCarthy recognizes, and greatly values, the trust offered by his patients and is resolutely committed to safe, effective, and compassionate care.
