About Me:
I began my career as an active officer in the U.S. Army, where I had the opportunity to care for soldiers and their families in multiple settings around the world. After the military, I provided primary care to a rural town in central Appalachia, where I partnered with local leaders to form a network of population-health initiatives. I am proud to call Marion County my new, and final, home. In addition to core primary care principles, I have extensive experience in outpatient procedures, skin conditions, athlete health, travel medicine, chronic diseases, and family-centered care. Dr. Miller was awarded the Oregon Health Sciences University Rural Community Preceptor Award in 2021 for his work precepting and mentoring med students on the rural health tract with OHSU.

My prior Dr retired. This as my first visit with Legacy. It took 4 months to get this appointment!! Waaay too long!!
Very difficult getting through phone messages. English, Spanish,COVID messages and speak to a person.
Good
Dr Miller always listens, asks questions and explains his findings and what to do
This was my first visit with Dr Miller. My previous Dr, had moved and is in practice in another city and with a different provider. The visit with Dr Miller was positive and look forward to seeing him again.
It was a new patient interview, I wasVery impressed with the office,Dr MillerAnd his staff.
There was a medical student in the room that was very attentive to both Dr Miller and myself.
Excellent visit
This was my first visit with Dr. Miller and everything went well
This provider is relatively new provider for me as we relocated to this location far enough from our most recent home that we needed to find a new provider.
None at all.good care and good people
It was a new patient visit. Here took the time to listen. It went really well.
This was my initial appointment to establish Dr. Miller as my PCP.
I trust Dr. Miller.
Dr Miller is always kind, thorough and professional.
Efficient.
Dr.Miller is EXTREMELY patient, understanding and explains any and all pros and cons of what I am there for. He also asks questions and when done with one item he will then always follow up with asking, "Is there anything else that you would like to discuss?" Every time I leave it's after any and all questions have been answered. I never feel dismissed or rushed. It's difficult to get a good doctor, I am lucky to have found one!
Jess did a good job of my medical situation and review of my current medical needs. He is professional and has empathy for his patient's.
It was good as always and I get everything I needed and the person that took my blood was perfect
He was extremely kind, listened well, didn't seem rushed, and helpful. Always a great vibe and great staff at the Mt Angel Clinic.
Dr. Miller's office is the most best Practice I've experienced since moving here from [location removed]. Excellent experience everytime, the staff is very nice and always congenial. They always answer my phone calls, and Dr. Miller is the best PCP I've ever had to be honest. That guy listens man, and truly makes me feel like he's there for me. Thank you Dr. Miller.
I saw Dr Miller for the first time due to my PCP retired so this was a consultation which I was very satisfied and feel lucky to have Dr Miller
The waiting area and clinic space is not childproof let alone suited for young children. The waiting time was too long with an infant and the staff is not trained on how to do pediatric care. There was no information or education provided to us. The records were not there, it was overall not a good experience.
Great practice
Dr really listened to what I had to say and made recommendations A+
Dr. Miller was very knowledgeable and thorough. Brenda is MA was great as well. Heather the clinic manager was great at helping get me an appointment when I needed one. I highly recommend the legacy office in Mount Angel.
Sometimes it's difficult to get an appointment right away.
The recent visit was my first visit with me changing from another clinic as I wanted to have a local medical clinic. Everyone and the whole experience was very good!
Dr. Miller had a medical student start the visit.
Was surprised by his willingness to listen to me and was making sure I was understanding him. Since originally I am French, His listening was very important to me. His mannerism was first class too.
Dr. Miller almost always has a student doctor, which I think is great. They always ask if it's okay if the student comes in.
He is very kind and knowledgeable and works with you.
Always does a good job.
I actually enjoy visiting Dr. Miller because he listens and offers advice professionally and good advice.
Didn't understand why he never asked about what shots I needed what wellness plan I needed things that my health told me I needed so had to make another appointment
Dr. Miller is always thorough and addresses any concerns I may have. I am very happy to have him as my primary care physician!
Very good experience. Everyone good
Dr Miller did not listen to my concerns. He seemed inexperienced and lost. I'm still waiting on a return call and instructions on next steps. This was a waste of time.
The staff is rude and almost always gets my scripts wrong, calling them into the wrong pharmacy then they're rude about having to do things correctly. This has been a big issue for over a year now.
He was able to get a steel splinter that was deep in my finger joint.
Dr. Miller is very kind and listens to what I say and answers all my questions.
This visit was good. I got in a little early, health issues were talked about. I was pleased with this visit. The student came in and did a good job.
Dr Miller has always been kind and knowledgeable and a good listener.
Dr Jess Miller is very thorough and takes the time to discuss things with me
All really helpful and positive.
Dr. Miller is competent and a caring doctor.
Very courteous and professional. Made me feel open to ask any questions of concerns, care and reasons of treatment.
Was good.
He never looked at my feet which was one of the questions I had for him he checked my heart lungs and pressure nothing elseHe'll so never likes to answer messages when you ask him a question
Very nice provider and staff.
Dr. Miller is an exceptionally good doctor - so glad he is so dedicated.
Dr. Miller takes time with me. He looks up previous tests (like cardio tests) to talk about my concerns. He asks "is there any thing more you want to talk about?" He has excellent demeanor.
Prompt analysis and taking of next steps.
Dr. Miller gave me excellent advise. He always spends plenty of time with me and provides an excellent consultation.
I have found it difficult to communicate my recent health needs over the last four weeks. My provider works 2.5 days a week, and my two avenues are to message the doctor or talk with the medical assistances. Due to the heavy patient load, most of my conversations have been relayed to the doctor via MA; they, In turn, would tell me what he/ she said. I found it difficult to get results from my blood test/xray reports and prescription medicines I was currently taking. I would need to call multiple times to have concerns answered. Four weeks ago I began to develop an UR problem which led into a sinus and ear infection. My regular physician prescribed an antibiotic. Over the last 10 days I have had pneumona. My frustration is with the lack of clear communication. Even though the MA are excellent and relayed information to me, during a serious illness, I would have preferred to have one or two personal conversations with the doctor. Again, I know they have been under a heavy load of patients.
I was very satisfied!
Dr Miller is professional, kind and understanding
We discussed my head injury but I thought we would see if my dizziness was caused by the sinus infection, not head injury.
Excellent doctor .. Excellent service Thank you
I haven't had any bad experiences all good experiences with Jess Miller
Very courteous and answered my questions
Very good
All good.
Always good care and follow up.
He's a wonderful doctor and all the staff are very nice.
Good
On time. Very friendly.
This was a wasted visit. I made this appointment based on a reminder notice that I was past due on my Medicare physical. My Provider explained to me that Legacy and Medicare are not on the same page. I should not be charged for this visit!
Dr Miller is always very thorough, listens, explains and suggests
Doc was attentive and helpful and efficient
First visit
Dr Miller is a good provider
Always very good visits. Dr Miller is terrific. He is very patient with me. He truly cares.
Able to see Dr at appt time, was on time.
I know I'm one of many in office to be seen, but Dr Miller never rushes or pushes me out the door. His attention is on me and nothing else. He truly cares about my health and concerns.
They were nice.
Felt a little rushed.
Everyone was courteous, professional, efficient. Answered all my questions. Blood draw was the best, least painful I've ever had.
It was OK for going to a doctor
I have been patient at this clinic for 20+ years. Very happy!
Brenda is always friendly, helpful and gets you into a room quickly. Dr. Miller cares about his patients, and I appreciate that he asks us what we think of his plan, if we have any ideas for a problem, etc.
Everything went smoothly.
Always answers medical questions so I understand
Dr Miller was attentive looking back through My records. I believe there were some staff shortages, but Dr Miller gave excellent care as did his assistant Veronica again very respectful. A+
I always receive good medical care from Dr. Miller.
Mt. Angel is a great place.
I don't think Dr. Miller diagnosed my stroke history or gave it any weight or consideration.

Dr Miller is a bit condescending making it difficult to confide.
