Dr. Kristen Thomas is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery. She has completed her medical school and orthopedic residency at The Ohio State University. Dr. Thomas completed her shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, NY. She has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals and has a special interest in shoulder injuries in softball players. Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor activities.

All members of the office staff were courteous, efficient and considerate. Dr. Thomas was kind, interested, interactive, and thoroughly knowledgeable. Her "bedside manner" was fabulous! Every aspect of the experience with and in her office for this appointment was virtually perfect.

DR. THOMAS IS AWESOME. HER STAFF WERE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. GOT IN AND GOT OUT IN VER ACCEPTABLE TIMES. IF MY RIGHT SHOULDER GOES BAD I WOULD COME BACK IN A MNUTE FOR THEM TO HELP AND GUIDE ME THROUGH ANY PROCEDURE NEEDED.

The provider took time to listen to the whole story of my injury. She was extremely helpful as far as explaining my condition and the process that will unfold moving forward. She was kind, compassionate, respectful, and treated me like a while complicated person and not just a series of symptoms. I would recommend her without hesitation - this was honestly one of the best interactions I've ever had with a medical provider.

Every staff person I have encountered have been very friendly, respectful, helpful and efficient. This office functions very efficiently. Dr Thomas was very personable and really listened to me. It was obvious that she had reviewed my chart and the documentation and test results done so far. She clearly explained her assessment of my problem, her suggested plan of action and plan for follow up. I left feeling very confident in her expertise and that she truly cared.

I was late due to a family emergency but they took me anyway. Discussed my recovery from surgery and arranged for more physical therapy.

Her notes on patient portal did not exactly match what was discussed during the visit. Her opinion was leaning towards one of the options and she did not discuss one of the other options that she wrote in her notes that she had discussed.

I have come to feel like Legacy Health providers treat me like family. Dr. Thomas has only further confirmed this sentiment even after only seeing her for 2 visits.

Dr. Thomas is the shoulder whisperer. She rocks as a surgeon. She needs to work on the communications between herself and her new PA on topics like postoperative pain meds. I had no sleep the night after surgery because a different pain med was ordered by her new PA than Dr. Thomas and I discussed in the preop visit.

Due to xray issues in the office, my wait to see Dr. Thomas was 90 minutes. I did not need an xray. It was unfortunate but I love this Dr. And am happy to continue w/her excellent care.

My wait time was a little long, I did have to return to work. But, I can't complain because 1) the office was swamped with patients and 2) I had asked to be put on the cancellation list so I could see the doc earlier than the original appt. So ya see a 40 min delay when I'm being squeezed in, is a hell of a lot better than the additional four weeks waiting for the original appointment date. I'm pleased as punch!The doctor is friendly and seems truly genuine. She spoke to me with an open body posture which indicates to me that she is confident, honest and probably damn fine at the work she does I have nothing but confidence going forward.

Great team. Friendly, highly skilled physician takes time to listen and explain. If appropriate, will show you your Xrays to give a visual of what they are seeing. Helpfully provided contact information for unrelated issue.

Dr. Thomas is an exceptional physician. I underwent a difficult shoulder replacement surgery and it came out extremely well. While she demonstrated excellent communication skills and exhibited exceptional patience during office visits, and exhibited an excellent caring manner.

There's are too many repetitive inquiries for my medical details. I complete in 30 minutes the first time. Then had to review each time I was rescheduled and the the poor assistant wanted to ho through it line by line when I arrived. After I complete the form for my prescription drugs I don't expect to have to recall them from memory while I'm there nor struggle to read the busy screen. Please stream line this, perhaps by adding a DATE on my record file so you can verify I provided the info just 5 days previously.

I called moments before my appointment because I could not find the office building on the campus, there was no information provided regarding parking so I parked further away on the street. Once helped with location I was able to get to the building and was told my 5 minutes late wouldn't be a problem. The elevator was an additional 5 minute wait , none of us could find the stairs. When I arrived at the office I explained I had called, I was ignored while one clerk asked the other very loudly "what is your late arrival policy?" I again explained that I had called and was trying to find the location on the phone with someone from the office. I was curtly told to sit down. At this point we were 20 minutes into my appointment, after another 5 I met with the intake nurse and another 5 the doctor. The point being no-one was waiting on me and there was no need for the lack of understanding.

Great visit. It was on-time, efficient, and very useful. Dr Thomas had reviewed all of my recent records and history again, so we got right to it.

I got lost in downtown Portland, OR, on my way to my office visit. I called to let them know and they gave me instructions about how to get to the office from the parking garage I used. This area of Portland is a nightmare! When I finally got to the office almost 30 minutes late, they checked with my doctor to see if I could still be seen. She said there was no problem! Thank heavens!!If this had been a shopping mall, I would never have gotten lost.

Dr Thomas was very professional yet approachable. She explained everything to me in terms I understood what my condition is. She showed me the X-rays and made a comparison analysis of both shoulders so I could understand what is going on with my body. She's great!
